Parish Council
Purpose
The Parish Pastoral Council exists to assist the Pastor in the pastoral care of the parish. Its role is advisory: members offer prayerful insight, practical wisdom, and informed recommendations that help strengthen the spiritual, sacramental, and communal life of Saint Pius X Parish.
The Council serves to create unity among the various ministries of the parish and fosters a shared vision rooted in the Church’s mission and tradition.
How is it determined who serves?
The Parish Pastoral Council is composed of leaders from the principal ministries of Saint Pius X Parish and School. Each member represents the needs, concerns, and opportunities within his or her ministry and works with the Pastor to promote collaboration, communication, and spiritual growth across the parish.
Membership is by invitation of the Pastor and reflects the active life of the parish.

What does the council do?
Pray for the parish and discern pastoral needs
Advise the Pastor on matters affecting parish life
Strengthen communication and unity among ministries
Report to the Council on their respective ministries
Identify opportunities for spiritual growth and evangelization
Encourage parish engagement and involvement
Advise the pastor on any subject he presents
Support the mission of Saint Pius X School as a vital ministry of the parish
Give voice to parishioners by being a good representation of the entire parish
What are the details about their meetings?
The Parish Pastoral Council meets monthly. The agenda will be made public via the website a week before each meeting. Relevant information from each meeting will be published on the website the day after each meeting. Major updates will be shared with the parish as needed, through both the bulletin and website to keep our community informed and engaged.
