Frequently Asked Questions

  • School begins at 7:50. Students may begin being dropped off at 7:30 am.

  • Early morning care is available at St. Pius X Catholic School. Beginning at 7:00 A.M. supervision will be available in the school gym. Sonia Nelson, the P.E. teacher will be providing the supervision. The cost will be $2.00 per day or $5.00 for the week with a one time $15.00 registration fee. 


  • Morning Assembly is in the gym at 7:50.

  • PreK-1st Grade: 11:15-11:45

    2nd Grade - 4th Grade: 12:00-12:30

    Fifth Grade - Eighth Grade: 12:30-1:00

  • Yes, but fast food is discouraged.

    Soft drinks, energy drinks, and coffee is not allowed.

  • Pick-up will begin each afternoon through the back gate off Brierwood Dr. The gate will open at 2:45 PM for parents to start lining up for carpool.

    To keep all our students safe, please remember there is no parking in front of the church when picking up middle school students.


  • School dismisses at 3:00 PM, and students will be waiting outside their classrooms until their names are called to meet their ride

  • If you’re running late:

    • After 3:15 PM, students will be taken to wait in front of the gym by the school office.

    • After 3:30 PM, any remaining students will join After School Care, which does have fees. 

  • After School Care runs from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and is available only on full school days. Please note that there will be no After School Care on the first day of school or on any half days.

  • If your child is sick or becomes sick (fever, nausea, diarrhea), they are to be 24 hours free since the last episode and dose of medication. To be able to return to school.

    If the student returns before the 24 hour period, the parent will be called to come pick up the child.

  • Medication, prescription or non-prescription, is given to students only with a prescription signed by a physician. The parent/guardian must supply all medication with the prescription. Medicines must be left in the school office in the original containers, with explicit written directions for administration. It is important for school personnel to know when children are placed on medication, or when their medication or dosage is changed.
