THE ALABAMA CHOOSE ACT

The Alabama CHOOSE Act provides families with an Education Savings Account (ESA) of up to $7,000 per student to assist with private school tuition and educational expenses. This program dramatically increases access to Catholic education for Alabama families.

  • Available to families whose household income is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (varies by family size).
  • Funds are awarded directly by the State of Alabama.
  • Families may use ESA funds to cover tuition and other school-related costs.

NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

For families who do not qualify for the CHOOSE Act, St. Pius X offers a limited number of need-based scholarships. These awards are made possible by parish support, generous benefactors, grants, and donations to the school.

  • Awards vary based on demonstrated financial need.
  • Applications are reviewed confidentially by the school administration.
  • Priority is given to active parish families and those with significant need.
